Starting in 2021, Church of the Saviour is officially the first city of Montgomery Clothing Collection bin location for Matthew 25 Ministries. The bin is in our parking lot and is a collection point for new and gently used adult and children’s clothing and accessories.

Matthew 25: Ministries welcomes adult and children’s clothing of all sizes, summer and winter clothing, coats and winter accessories.  Matthew 25 asks that donated clothing is clean, free of fraying, tears, holes and stains, has functional zippers or other closures, no missing buttons and no odor.  Underwear and socks must be new and in original packaging.

Items that are donated to Matthew 25 are sorted and evaluated for quality, appearance, geographic and cultural appropriateness.  Every person regardless of their circumstances deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.  Matthew 25’s criteria for clothing is simple – if you would not be willing to wear the garment yourself (quality not style) do not give it to someone else.
