Serve the World

Introducing our Mission Partnerships:  At the recommendation of the Mission Alignment Team, Servant Leadership Board has named two organizations as Mission Partners of Church of the Saviour. The designation as Mission Partners means that we, as a congregation, are going ALL IN with these missions. In addition to the financial support they receive through your generous contributions, there will be increased opportunities for the entire congregation to become engaged with these missions in hands-on ways.

Servants in Fellowship Established in 2012 by missionaries in Haiti, Servants in Fellowship focuses on helping short term mission teams experience sharing God’s love in Haiti through meeting basic human needs: medical care, safe housing, educational and spiritual development. Servants in Fellowship is committed to involving the Haitian people in the decisions regarding mission work, relying on neighborhood committees to decide on housing priorities and employing Haitians to work alongside the mission teams. Through Servants in Fellowship, we also have a relationship with Faith Academy, a school for children in Haiti that provides excellent education, financial support to families who would not otherwise be able to send all their children to school, a feeding program to provide for the nutritional needs of the children, and a strong faith in Jesus Christ. Church of the Saviour has been involved with the founding missionaries of Servants in Fellowship for 20 years and was an integral partner in the founding of the organization. There are, of course, many other mission organizations with which Church of the Saviour is involved. We will continue to highlight volunteer opportunities that help serve our mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the church, the community, and the world. But with our two Mission Partnerships, we will be looking for ways to connect all segments the congregation. There will be a Mission Partnership Team for each of these organizations, looking at ways to develop those connections and keep you informed of the tremendous work being done. Look for more information and opportunities to connect in the months to come.
