Dear Church of the Saviour,
I hope 2019 is off to a great start for you!  Here at church, 2019 is already proving to be an exceptional year! We began with a sermon series – Seeking something new – looking to God as we seek new direction, healing and vision for the new year!  God is already causing a stir in many of you!  May we all continue to be faithful and follow the star God places out in front of us. Coming in February we will begin a four-week series Loyalty In Love.  We are going to study the book of Ruth. I love the book of Ruth. Learn more about it here!
It reads more like a short story and the insight in it runs deep. No matter your age or season of life, there is wisdom to learn from the lessons that unfold as we walk along with Naomi, Ruth, and Boaz.  Plan to join us in February and expect to find God at work in relationships, rescue and devotion. Many of our small groups gathered for new studies and books.  We had a new group form in January -Titans of Faith.  This group is looking to history’s most influential believers, tracing the Christian faith through the centuries by learning directly from some of those who have had the greatest impact on Christianity. Titans of Faith is just one of eight new studies in January. There are always new studies or groups happening.
All this to say, there is always an opportunity for you to jump in and join a group. Be sure to read through the pages of the circuit rider because there is a study or group for you.  If you don’t find something that interest you, email or call our Director of Adult discipleship, Margaret Butler (margaret.butler@cos-umc.org).  She will connect you. On January 19 our new Servant Leadership Board gathered for the first time in the new year. At our retreat we looked back at all we accomplished in 2018 – Our Capital Campaign – Thank you congregation! Then we turned our eyes to what is ahead.  Where are we going in 2019 , 2020 and beyond.  The board looks forward to casting that vision in the months to come!
In Christ, Pastor Jenn
