Weekday Studies
Titans of the Faith 4rd Sunday every Month at 12:15pm in the Parlor Leader: Nick Van Horn Refresh your faith by learning from some of history’s most influential believers.  We’ll trace the Christian faith through the centuries by learning directly from some of those who have had the greatest impact on Christianity, the titans of the faith. During this group we will read one work by a different “Titan” each month and discuss what we’ve learned, beginning with the 4th century bishop, Athanasius, and ending with the 20th century’s C.S. Lewis. Like anything worthwhile in life, this will not be easy, but it will most certainly be good!   God will reveal Himself in refreshing ways as we seek Him on this journey.  Take a leap of faith and step up to this challenge by joining us in this great adventure of faith. Christian readers will gain a better understanding of the similarities and differences between Christianity and the faiths of some of their next-door neighbors.
This study looks for common ground while noting differences and hopefully readers will come away with a better understanding and appreciation of other faiths and be led to better fulfill Jesus’ command to “love our neighbor as we love ourselves.”

That’s one way to describe Peter. Here’s another: poor, uneducated, quick-tempered, and full of doubts and fears. Doesn’t even sound like the same man. Peter was just an ordinary guy who heard and followed God’s extraordinary call. Discover how you, too, have special gifts, talents, and abilities that God can use to make a difference today.

The Prodigal Prophet by Timothy Keller Wednesday (6:00pm) Conference Room Leaders: Nick Van Horn and Graham Rouse

These men welcome you to join them as they read The Prodigal Prophet. Most people, even those who are nonreligious, are familiar with the book of Jonah: a rebellious prophet defies God and is swallowed by a whale. Less familiar to most people is the second half of this Biblical story–what happens after Jonah is released from the belly of the fish. Yet it is in this second half of the story that one of the most powerful and important lessons of the Bible is hidden. The famous story shows how, if we would understand the mercy of God, it will always take us in directions we would rather not go, toward people we would rather not care about, and ultimately into the deepest counsels of God. In a time of growing division, The Prodigal Prophet shows us God’s love among people, and how Christians must listen to God’s call even when it takes them to uncomfortable places.
