
Interested in becoming part of the Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group at Church of the Saviour for 2008-2009? We hope so! Here are the basics of what MOPS is all about. Mothers of Preschoolers is an international organization that is dedicated to providing a caring ministry for mothers of preschoolers (infancy-kindergarten). MOPS is about celebrating motherhood, meeting needs, making connections, and experiencing God’s love through relationships and resources. MOPS exists to meet the needs of every mom who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! Do I need to be a member of Church of the Saviour to join? No, all those who are moms of an infant, toddler, preschooler/kindergartner are more than welcome. MOPS will meet at Church of the Saviour twice a month. When does MOPS meet? MOPS at Church of the Saviour will meet the third Tuesday night from 6:30-8:30 and the third Thursday morning of the month from 9:30-11:30. Yes! Childcare is available to you at no charge. Please reserve your child’s spot by calling the church (791-3142 ext 29) seven days prior to the meeting. Please note that there may be a waiting list based on the childcare worker to child ratio . What can I expect at the meetings? Our meetings will include a time of welcome and fellowship, guest speakers, small group discussions and end with a creative activity. Yes, there is a nonrefundable fee of $43.00 to join MOPS. $25 of this fee supports MOPS internationally which includes a one-year subscription to MOMSense magazine, MOM-E-Mail messages, a free book and DVD. $18 is to help to cover meeting costs.
