When are your worship times?
We have three worship services on Sunday morning; 8:20 a.m. , which is a traditional worship service; 9:40 a.m., our contemporary worship service called "The Bridge", and; 11:00 a.m., which is our second traditional worship service. Do you have childcare and Sunday School for my kids?
Yes! Childcare is offered at all three of our worship services in our Kids Ark room which is located in room 9 and 10. Kids Ark is staffed with our paid childcare staff and church volunteers. Time of service and age breakdown are as follows: 8:20 age 6 weeks-5 year old 9:40 age 6 weeks-2 1/2 year old 11:00 age 6 weeks-3 year olds Sunday school is offered at the 9:40 and 11:00 hours. We offer classes for 2 1/2 year olds through 6th grade at the 9:40 hour and classes for 4 year olds-6th grade at the 11:00. Will I be made to stand up, or introduce myself, or be singled out in any way?
No. We respect your privacy and your desire to worship with us at your own comfort level. We'll never call on you from the pews, or ask you to introduce yourself. You may be warmly greeted before or after the service by any of the number of awesome individuals who attend Church of the Saviour.
Can my children come with me to worship?
Yes! Whether you choose to have your child attend Sunday School or be cared for in our professionally staffed child care area, or bring them to worship with you, either is fine. the 8:20 and 11:00 service has "Children's Moments" and our 9:40 Contemporary Service, "The Bridge", is relaxed and comfortable, and children of all ages have always felt right at home in the service!
Do you celebrate Communion?
Yes - we celebrate communion at all three services on the first Sunday of the month.
What do I need to do to be baptized?
Baptisms are scheduled in consultation with the parents and/or person being baptized, and coordinated with family and church calendars. Please call the church office at 513.791.3142 for more information.
May I participate in Communion if I am not a member - or even a United Methodist?
Absolutely - we celebrate communion in an "open table" way - meaning that everyone is welcome to receive communion - you needn't be a member of Church of the Saviour or even a United Methodist. All that is asked is that you be seeking an open relationship with Christ.
What is your music program like?
Stellar. We have music programs from age four through adult. From children's choirs, youth choirs, adult choirs, handbell choirs for all ages, multiple praise bands, brass and woodwind choirs and more, there are nearly 200 people participating in the music program at Church of the Saviour. Are there ways to get involved in helping others at Church of the Saviour?
Many ways. We have numerous outreach programs, from our involvement with Wesley Chapel, to the Foot Care Clinic, to Project 5000, to Needs. there are so many ways you can reach out through your involvement at Church of the Saviour to help others both locally and throughout the world, they are almost too numerous to mention. Do you have Sunday school for adults?
Yes. We have a full array of Sunday School offerings, both during our 9:30 hour and at 11:00. In addition, we have numerous other small group studies, from sermon-based growth groups, to Disciple Bible study classes. Please visit our Adult Education page for more information.
